# TrackApp

> Track (TrackApp) is an email tracking service for Google and Microsoft email accounts, with apps for Android and iPhone and a Chrome extension for Gmail on the web.

For mobile email tracking, install Track and connect the Google or Microsoft account you send from. Use that same sending account in your mail app and choose the intended recipient whose contact name begins with Track. Selecting an ordinary recipient address alone does not enable this tracking method. Review tracked messages and recorded events in Track's Outbox.

The mobile guides cover the Gmail app with a connected Google account, the Outlook app with a connected Microsoft account, and the iOS Mail app with a connected Google or Microsoft account. Using Apple Mail does not mean connecting an iCloud account to Track.

If a tracking contact is missing, use Prepare Tracked Email in Track, enter the recipient's ordinary email address, then prepare the message. This opens the phone's mail app with the tracking recipient filled in; the sender must still write and send the email.

An open event does not prove a person read or understood an email. Image blocking can prevent recorded opens, while automatic image loading and privacy features can affect counts, timing and location. A missing open does not prove an email was unread. Reported location may be unavailable or may differ from the recipient's actual location.
